Did the FDA just Crack Down on CBD?! Here’s what changed...
If you’ve been keeping up on the latest news about CBD, there’s no doubt that you’ve seen some pretty alarming headlines stating that the FDA has cracked down on CBD. This is just not true. They basically reiterated their existing position which is that brands CANNOT make health claims, and that they don’t have enough scientific evidence to come out with supportive regulations just yet. Technically, they say the CBD is not allowed to be used in foods, drinks, or supplements. That being said, the precedent has clearly been set that if you don’t make health claims you won’t be bothered by the FDA. This industry continues to grow and will not stop any time soon!
