Cherry-Vanilla Protein Smoothie
Start your day with this calming smoothie, or sip it before bed for relaxation and better sleep. We added a vegan protein powder for increased protein and tryptophan, crucial for reducing stress, improving mood and promoting relaxation. Cherries are high in melatonin, a calming hormone that relieves anxiety, and hemp seeds add omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to reduce stress and improve mood.
What you need:
- 1 ½ cups milk, almond milk or coconut milk
- 1 cup frozen pitted cherries
- 1 scoop vanilla whey or vegan vanilla protein powder
- 1 scoop UnCanny Calm Blend
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fresh or frozen cherries for garnish (optional)
- Hemp seeds for garnish (optional)
How to make:
- In a blender, combine milk, cherries, protein powder, UnCanny Cherry Calm and vanilla extract. Puree until smooth.
- Pour smoothie into two glasses, garnish with additional cherries and hemp seeds, if desired, and serve immediately.
